I haven’t been here in a few days and I’ve done no reading what so ever since I finished Blood and Steam because I’ve just been too ill. I’m writing this on over 24 hours uptime and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be in a fit state to read at all until at least Monday. The flu is a bitch and she sure as hell don’t pull her punches.
Short update is short but whatever, I’ll update you all on the situation on Monday and let you know if I’ll be in a reading mood.
When I first finished The Tinker’s War I was so looking forward to Blood and Steam, to reading more about Breeze’s adventures, to finding out how they would defeat the Vangars.
I first read this (or half of it at least) last year after reading the first in the series, The Tinkerer’s Daughter. After all the action packed into the first book I found this one tiring to read and after a while forgot all about it. I picked it back up yesterday and quickly devoured it.
I’ve been looking forward to this book since I finished reading The Bone Season in, something like May/June last year and while the build up was slower in this one than TBS, TMO is definitely a brilliant book, definitely as good, if not better than TBS.
Welcome To AkaShika’s Books Blog. Here I will be writing all sorts of things about the books I’m reading or have just read. Sometimes I may go back and reread a book and write an updated post on it and sometimes I’ll just review a book I’ve read after I’ve read it and not give any updates about what happens while I’m reading it.
Be sure to check out my Twitter for updates about my general life here. I’ll warn you right now though it’s mostly things to do with my cat.
Thanks for reading, I hope you have a great time here at AkaShika’s Books Blog.
I aim to update this blog twice weekly with reviews, more often with general posts. My reviews can usually be found on Mondays and Thursdays.
